 American Red Cross

Disaster Services

For over 100 years the American Red Cross has been assisting people affected by disasters. The successful work of the Red Cross is made possible by thousands of volunteers and the generous financial contributions of the American people. The Red Cross is an independent organization, not a government agency. All disaster relief given by the Red Cross is given free of charge as a gift from the American People.

Your local American Red Cross doesn't wait until disaster strikes.  We are prepared to respond to hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, fires, hazardous materials incidents, and other disasters.
If you or someone you know has been affected by a disaster contact your local chapter 24 hours a day 7 days a week at (903) 753-2091.

If you have questions about the services we provide or would like to become a disaster volunteer send an email to our Emergency Services Department.

You can also view the volunteer opportunities available on our Volunteer page.

Your local chapter serves Gregg, Upshur, Rusk, Camp, Panola, Shelby and Harrrison counties.

If you are located in Smith, Wood, Henderson, or Cherokee Counties please contact the Smith County Chapter in Tyler.

If you are located in Bowie, Cass, Franklin, Marion, Miller, Morris, Red River or Titus Counties please contact the Texarkana Chapter.
